This department gives extreme training to the students in various lathes, special machines like CNC Milling machine, Grinding machines, foundry and welding as per NCVT norms. All the Machineries are modern and highly precious. The students are getting training in the Factory atmospheric condition.

Each trainee is provided with individual tool kit and bench vice to do the workshop practical in a proper way. Electric furnace for heat treatment process, Black smithy Equipment, Welding equipment has been installed in the workshop.

The department has highly qualified and experienced faculty members. The Laboratory is flooded with different types of DC/AC motors and generators. Three phase Alternators, single phase and three phase induction motors single phase and three phase transformers / Auto transformers, special machines, measuring instruments, transformers and electronics instruments are available in plenty of our laboratory.

These are erected in a sophisticated manner. 100% safety measures are taken. We are maintaining all equipment’s in working condition for giving training to the Students without any interruption.

Welding, split it and see it sounds as well + ding so we can just imagine it as a process that is well suited for manufacturing industries. Welders are the backbone for manufacturing industry because these are the devices that used to weld the metals. Metals is what concerned about the industries and the raw metals are not useful unless they are moulded and welded well. So in that aspect the welders and welding equipment play a vital role.

This lab is equipped with the welding generator, rectifier set, Tig & Mig welding set, metal powder spray equipment, etc. we have ten sets of welding transformer in five welding booths. This trade undertakes other works like design and fabrication of grill works and truss work where the students are involved.

Instrumentation is defined as the art and science of measurement and control of process variables within a production or manufacturing area. The process variables used in industries are Level, Pressure, Temperature, Humidity, Flow, pH, Force, Speed etc. The practice uses sensors to measure the output performance of the device being controlled and those measurements can be used to give feedback to the input actuators that can make corrections toward desired performance.

Instrumentation and Control plays a significant role in both gathering information from the field and changing the field parameters, and as such are a key part of control loops. The Instrumentation is heading towards development of new & intelligent sensors, smart transducers, MEMS Technology, Blue tooth Technology.

In short, it deals with measurement, automation and control processes. In today's scenario, there are many people who are willing to make a career in this stream. Almost all process and manufacturing industry such as steel, oil, petrochemical, power and defence production will have a separate instrumentation and control department, which is manned and managed by instrumentation and control engineers. “Automation is the buzz word in process industry, and automation is the core job of instrumentation and control engineers. Hence, the demand for instrumentation will always be there."
